Can You Boil an Egg in a Hot Tub?
Recently, two Hamilton area girls showed off their scientific discoveries at a local science fair. The girls put weeks of research into their experiment, and wanted to address the age old myth of being able to fry an egg on the sidewalk. Given that the science fair was held in January, the young myth-busters were unable to use this as the focus of their experiment. The girls took it a step further, got creative, and decided to investigate whether or not you can boil an egg in a hot tub. The girls tried to boil an egg numerous times in their parent’s hot tub. Their discovery? No, you can’t. You can read more about the other featured science experiments here. We know that hot tubs are great for many things, including relaxation, health benefits, and entertaining; but now we can safely say that cooking eggs is not on that list. We don’t know about you, but we don’t mind keeping hot tubs and cooking separate! What experiment would you like to see done with hot tubs?
