A Hot Tub of Happiness for a Deserving Girl
Savannah Wilson, a 16-year-old blind, disabled girl from Lake Stevens, Washington, was granted a wish from the Make-a-Wish Foundation in September. While most wishes granted seem to be more along the lines of trips to Disneyland, all she wanted was a hot tub!
Savannah was described in an article in the Herald as having “a prognosis where her life span will be decreased but we just live life and let her be happy and be a kid," by her mother, Sharon Jordan. "She is the happiest kid on earth and loves people and animals and music and playing."
Savannah faces many challenges and a shortened life span due to her health conditions, but it seems she doesn’t let the negatives outweigh the positives and finds joy everywhere.
It may serve as a reminder to the rest of us that sometimes, despite all of our troubles, all it takes to be happy is something simple, like warm bubbles and time spent with friends and family in the backyard hot tub.
