Hot Tub Break
Take a break, a hot tub break. Do nothing. Be lazy. Soak your troubles away. Sounds simple, yet many hot tub owners struggle to let go. Most of us venture to the hot tub after a long day at work. We resist the urge to let go, oftentimes bringing our home phone or cell phone along. Others review reports from the office, read a book, listen to music or surf social networks. For some reason, we are growing more and more incapable of disconnecting. Next time you venture out to your backyard oasis, take a hot tub break. Appreciate your surroundings. Notice the trees or flowers. Make note of the birds and the bees. Observe wildlife footprints in the snow. Above all, take the time to look up. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said of the stars, “But every night come out these envoys of beauty, and light the universe with their admonishing smile”. Next time you take a soak in your hot tub, just smile, and watch the world go by.
